TWILIGHT HOUSTON BAR

A beer in my hand,
a glass full of wine,
a girl at my side winking
her eye.

I don't know why I'm here.
You should be that girl.
My lips should not be drinking
this wine, but tasting your mouth.

That's it, I'm getting out.
I must look for you
but not today when I'm drunk.
I'll wait till tomorrow.
I don't want you to think
that I'm strong because I'm
just drunk.

I want to prove that I'm
strong, but with the strength
of your love, that like alcohol
runs through my blood.
